UPDATE TO ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE MESSAGED ME AND I HAVENT GOTTEN BACK TO: My advice to anyone with hyperhydrosis: I have had many people ask me for my opinion on the surgery, and how I now deal with hyperhydrosis. I went to that specialist I was talking about, discussed the surgery. The Dr. was very honest about the surgery. The surgery would be worth it if I only had palmer(hands) or a single part of my body sweat the most. In my case, my hands get clamy+wet, and its mostly my face, head, back, chest all sweat together. IF I WERE TO GET THE SURGERY, what ever surface area that I sweat from( do the math-Hands+face+head+armpits+back+chest= about 10-20% of my total body). NOW, you have to consider compensatory sweating after the surgery–which basically says all nervous sweating from the nipple upward will be completely 100% gone. The downside is that the sweat that is no longer going to your upper body COULD POSSIBLY(Most likely) go to your lower body throughout the day, not when you get nervous. So in essence, you will sweat from your legs, groin, ass etc on a regular basis more than you used to. IN MY OPINION IT WAS NOT WORTH IT! …If you have generalized hyperhydrosis(all over) the surgery probably isn’t worth getting …If you have hyperhydrosis of the hands, feet, or even just a smaller area like your armpits, I believe the surgery would be worth it.
