For the one percent of people that suffer from hyperhidrosis you are well aware that this isn’t a fun disorder to have. In case you aren’t aware of what hyperhidrosis actually means, it is a big word for excessive sweating. I bet that there are a lot more people out there that have hyperhidrosis than they even realize. Hyperhidrosis treatment is available in a few forms such as medications, botox, surgery, or the best treatment, the natural ones.
Many people feel that medications are the way to go to fix anything but many times there is a natural alternative that can do pretty close to, if not exactly, the same thing. Medications that are used as hyperhidrosis treatment can have their own annoying side effects such as dry mouth, constipation or even blurry vision. None of those side effects is one that you would want to have any more than you would wish to have the excess sweating of hyperhidrosis.
The surgery that is available for a hyperhidrosis treatment is called ETS (endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy) and has a few forms of treatment available. If you are wanting to use ETS as a quick but reversible fix then there is a type of clamp that can be placed on sections of the sympathetic nerve. The clamping method as a hyperhidrosis treatment is a good one if surgery is your thing as it is something that can be undone if you don’t like the results.
The other forms of surgery have a less likely chance of being reversible and that’s just not a good thing. If you have a surgery done and don’t like it then you could be stuck with the side effects of that surgery forever. Considering the cost of the surgery and the risk involved, I just don’t know if it would be worth it.
An easy fix for hyperhidrosis treatment is a good antiperspirant. There are actually some antiperspirants on the market that work nicely short term but just can’t be considered the endurance runners of hyperhidrosis treatment. The main ingredient that has got to be present for the antiperspirants to work for this treatment is aluminum chloride. If you don’t mind carrying some antiperspirants with you then this might not be a bad idea.
Botox has been used for hyperhidrosis treatment but there have been findings now the the drug used in the botox injections can actually be harmful for your body and with everything that we use daily that is bad, I’m not sure that this would be a good idea.
If I were to pick the best and most natural solution for hyperhidrosis treatment then that would probably have to be acupunture. Acupunture is something that the Chinese have been doing for centuries although was only brought into the United States back in the 60′s. It really got its fame though when in 1971 a reporter for the New York Times wrote a story on how it was used to ease the pain that followed his surgery. This is a hyperhidrosis treatment that uses no drugs and will ease your nerves causing you to have less problems with excessive sweating. And that there would be the selling point for me.
